What size per file?
Section titled “What size per file?”5 MB per file, in both modes — the drop card shows it; beyond that, the deposit refuses it by name.
One part alone on a large sheet?
Section titled “One part alone on a large sheet?”It nests — since V0.9, a single part, however small against the sheet, gets its proposal (before, it ended in error).
A part is refused — what now?
Section titled “A part is refused — what now?”The refusal NAMES the file and states the cause. The two usual ones:
- thinner than the spacing: the part is narrower than the space requested between parts. The result SAYS so: a “Does not fit — not cuttable” banner, with two actions — add a sheet, or reduce the spacing;
- open contour: “N open paths will not be cut — close them in your CAD” — see DXF.
What device mode does not do
Section titled “What device mode does not do”- DWG: the conversion runs on our machines — see DWG;
- multi-device: the parts live in this browser — see Privacy;
- everything else is the same engine, the same quality.
A file causes trouble?
Section titled “A file causes trouble?”On “This device”, an unreadable file is refused at the deposit, by name, with the reason — nothing passes in silence. On “Our servers”, a failed import becomes an error card carrying a “Report a problem” button: it opens a reporting form in a new tab — nothing is sent automatically; attach the problematic file there.
